by Cristae[Actor Seo-jun Lee’s Next Project: Eclipse?!]
[Laura Welton’s Novel “Eclipse” to Be Adapted Again?]
[Eclipse, Which Ended in a Flop, Returns as a Remake!]
[The Title of the Remake is “New Eclipse”!]
— That Eclipse? The flopclipseeee?!
=Really? Really? Really? Really?
=Crazy.
— What’s Eclipse?
=It’s a film. A flop from 5 years ago, lol.
=Yeah, a movie none of the novel’s fans acknowledge.
=But I guess now we have to.
— Mountain God: (holding up the flopclipse) Is this your movie?
Me (an Eclipse novel fan): ㅠㅠ Yes. (Though I don’t want to admit it) It is.
Mountain God: Hoho. What a good child. Here, I’ll give you both. (Hands over New Eclipse)
Me: ?? Suddenly??
=LOL it really feels like that LOL
=The remake is shocking enough, but having Seo-jun as the lead… What is happening right now;;;
— But 5 years ago isn’t that long… and they’re already doing a remake?
=Yeah. People probably still remember it.
=?? Did you actually watch it??
=…Nope, lol.
=Considering the global audience count… You might not even need to call it a remake.
=22 Just consider it a fresh release. No problem.
=33 That’s how few people saw it. (I did though, haha)
=Wow. Someone here actually saw it.
=I watched it on opening day, first screening. Didn’t even get to see reviews before. (I wrote one instead. And ripped it apart.)
— Uh… I just said I’d watch anything with Seo-jun in it, even a fairy tale… but a remake of a flop…?
=22 How? Why? Out of nowhere?
=33 Are we even allowed to watch this?
=If Seo-jun read the script, it probably isn’t that bad.
=Please! (praying)
— Who knows. Maybe this will be the first crack in Seo-jun’s filmography.
=22 Isn’t this going to flop?
=Would something Seo-jun picked actually flop?
=If it’s Seo-jun oppa, he’ll drag it to box office success by the collar.
— Oh. Flop movie VS Seo-jun.
=LOL whose power is stronger LOL
=If it flops: Even Seo-jun couldn’t save it, legendary flopclipse
=If it succeeds: Actor who revives flops, Seo-jun
=LOLLLL
— But wow. Seo-jun really does whatever he wants. He picked flopclipse, of all things.
=22 Right after She&Na, he picks flopclipse, LOL. Any normal agency would’ve passed based on the title alone.
=33 OverRay 2 – She&Na – Flopclipse?? Even random people on the street would reject that.
=Wow… Looking at his filmography, it’s kinda insane.
— What’s the mood among Seo-jun fans?
=Yeah, they’re probably going nuts.
=Storming Cocoa Entertainment, maybe?
=Nope, nope. They’re thrilled.
=…Huh?
=Just super thrilled, LOL
=I just checked [Current Seo-jun Fan Reactions] and yeah, it’s true LOL
[Title: Current Seo-jun Fan Reactions]
Collected from all over.
Other places are reacting similarly.
— Seo-junㅠ was already prepping his next projectㅠㅠ
— When’s it coming out? I’m going opening day!!
— What’s Eclipse? What’s it about?
=(Link to purchase Eclipse novel)
=(Link to Eclipse plot summary)
=Don’t watch the flopclipse.
=LOL
— For sprouts who haven’t read the novel yet, you should probably watch the movie first, then read the book.
=22 You’ll naturally picture Seo-jun as the lead.
=33 Especially with Seo-jun oppa’s acting chops.
=As soon as the article dropped, I ran to the bookstore. Just finished the book.
=Me too. Got it delivered—planning to read it after the movie drops.
=Weirdly reminds me of Mirror, LOL
=Sealed the book until the YouTube play came out too (nostalgic)
=Why is this making me emotional, LOL
— Important note for sprouts who don’t want spoilers ★ The male lead is a werewolf ★
=……!!!
=A we-we-werewolf?!
=Holy crap, a werewolf?!
— Damn. No wonder Seo-jun’s body looked so good lately!
=Thought it was just in my head!
=Thought it was my eyesight!
=He’s been training for the role!
=And it’s a werewolf! panting
=Wolf. Hehehe. Werewolf. Heheheh.
=FYI, the novel includes fight scenes, too. With clothes ripping and bare skin showing—very intense hehe
=……Eheheheh!!
=Excuse me! We’ve got pervs over here!!
Summary: They’re loving it.
—……Do sprouts even know what worry is?
=Sprout 1: Seo-jun read the script, right? Why worry?
=Sprout 2: If anything goes wrong, he’ll “help” the director, our actor is like that hehe
=Sprout 3: Just save up for multiple viewings and wait!
=Apparently.
=Their trust in the actor is next-level.
— True. Seo-jun and Cocoa must’ve looked into it. They both have great instincts for picking projects.
=He’s been in Hollywood for a while, so he probably locked down the contract terms, too.
=You think he chose it expecting it to flop?
— Nah, you never know the future.
=Do you think other flop actors knew their movies would flop? It probably looked great on paper.
=Could this be Seo-jun’s first flop?
— Whether it flops or succeeds, New Eclipse already got its publicity.
=22 Right now everyone (worldwide) is talking Oscar Best Actor + New Eclipse.
=Seo-jun, as expected……
While people in the sunlit countries were buzzing about the shocking news…
Seo-jun, having returned to his home in LA after the after-party, was fast asleep on a fluffy bed.
To be exact—
As always, he was reading a book in the Library of Life.
“Hmm.”
Leaning against a chair tailored exactly to his body in the Library of Life, Seo-jun flipped a page.
The books he was reading now were about wolves.
The power from his previous life, [Albino Wolf], was one of protection for the pack, but it didn’t quite fit [New Eclipse], so he was searching for more suitable abilities.
‘It’d be good to find traits that really express wolf-like nature.’
It’d be nice if his voice and movements in the performance gave off a uniquely animalistic rather than human vibe.
Of course, since signing the contract, he had already bookmarked a few candidates while reading.
But since he might find an even better fit before filming started, Seo-jun never stopped reading.
On top of that, this time, he needed abilities that could apply to others too.
Because Seo-jun wasn’t the only werewolf.
Seo-jun looked away from the life book and fell into thought.
‘With Cheongryong-nim, I was the only non-human.’
Same for the android ‘M’ in the play [MOEB-436].
In both, the other actors played humans, so it was okay for Seo-jun to exude an otherworldly presence.
‘In most of my other works, the characters were human, so I didn’t have to show that dissonance.’
In Escape, the zombie wasn’t even shown on screen for long. And in the Shadowman Series, though the Nattra race was alien, they weren’t much different from Earthlings. The real Nattra was an Earthling too.
‘But New Eclipse is different.’
Werewolves—not just Seo-jun, but other actors would play them too.
‘There are quite a few werewolves in New Eclipse.’
Of course, since Seo-jun was the lead, it wouldn’t be a huge issue if his werewolf felt different from the rest.
But it might come off as one wolf among black and white sheep—too much of a contrast.
‘And there are fight scenes.’
A battle between black sheep and a wolf?
The image forming in Seo-jun’s mind didn’t feel very intense. Just a wolf flicking its paw and winning. He felt like the audience would sense that too.
Sure, he could tone down his acting—
‘But I won’t!’
Seo-jun, who was passionate about acting (especially non-human roles), would never do that.
His dark eyes sparkled.
At the very least, he’d go beyond the black sheep vibe and resemble a dog close to a wolf.
‘If it’s a fight between a wolf and a pack of dogs, that’s a bit more intense.’
Hmm-hmm♪
Unconsciously humming, Seo-jun turned back to his life book.
As the pages fluttered, he could already picture the hardships the other werewolf actors would go through.
The next day.
After replying to congratulatory messages from friends and acquaintances he hadn’t checked last night, Seo-jun ate a hearty breakfast and looked up reactions online.
“There are quite a few people saying it’s going to flop.”
“Well, it’s only been 5 years since the last one. Guess the failure is still fresh in people’s minds.”
Choi Taewoo, speaking with a slightly concerned look, glanced at Seo-jun.
He worried that Seo-jun, who was used to nothing but praise and anticipation, might be hurt by some of the comments predicting failure.
But contrary to Choi Taewoo’s concern, Seo-jun’s face showed no shadow as he read the comments.
“Once they see the movie, they’ll know it’s completely different.”
Rather, Seo-jun seemed genuinely curious how public opinion would shift post-release. Seeing Seo-jun’s positive attitude, Choi Taewoo smiled as well.
“Ah, Seo-jun. Let me update you on the schedule.”
Handing over a printed schedule, Choi Taewoo continued, and Seo-jun nodded, accepting the stack of papers.
In time-sensitive Hollywood, everything moved according to plan—and New Eclipse was no different.
“Filming starts in April as scheduled, and action training begins in March—in four days. Group practice follows what’s written there.”
Seo-jun scanned the highlighted schedule. Alongside his name were names of actors he’d train with—sometimes just one, sometimes over ten.
Since Seo-jun was the lead and wanted to do as much of the action himself as possible, he had more training sessions than others. Some involved stunt performers.
“How is it, think you’ll manage?”
“Yes. I’ll be fine.”
Even with all the training, Seo-jun’s eyes sparkled rather than frowned. Choi Taewoo smiled at his enthusiasm.
“And the training will be at the same center we used for She&Na. You remember it, right?”
“Yes. The action training center, right?”
Seo-jun nodded.
He had trained there for both Shadowman and She&Na, so he was familiar with the place.
“There won’t be many changes to this schedule. They even booked other training rooms at the center, so if you want to practice more during free time, you can go there.”
Oh!
Seo-jun’s eyes lit up, and Choi Taewoo laughed and continued.
“The trainers will be on standby, so it’s fine to go alone. It’d be nice to train with other actors, but everyone has their own schedule.”
“Ah, that’s a bit of a shame.”
Seo-jun looked genuinely disappointed—but then grinned.
Maybe he could talk a few into joining him.
At the same time—
Among the New Eclipse cast, the actors playing werewolves were also receiving updates from their managers.
‘Separate training?’
No way.
Thinking they could just do well during rehearsals, the actors suddenly shivered at a chill running down their spines.
