8:30… It’s later than I thought.
The WorkingBaby celebration was a party his close PD friends threw to congratulate him on the show’s success.
Normally, he’d rejoin the afterparty and then head straight back to the station to edit, but tonight he called Woo-joo right away.
“Woo-joo, I’m sorry. Dad’ll be home soon, okay?”
“Hey, PD Seo, quit dodging and just give me Grew’s number already!”
While on the phone with Woo-joo, PD Choi slung an arm around Seo PD’s shoulders and shouted loudly in his ear.
The ‘WorkingBaby Success Party’ had quickly morphed into a “Producers’ Get Grew’s Contact Info Club” once the drinks started flowing.

PDs eager to cast Grew circled PD Seo like a pack of hungry hyenas.
If Grew were any other celebrity, they might have asked her manager for a contact, but she was the princess of Hyunak.

As PD Choi jabbed Seo in the ribs, PD Hwang Un-cheol came rushing out to break them up.

When Grew visited the set to see Woo-joo, Hwang had gotten a chance to say hello.
After that, he’d tried and tried to cast Grew through Woo-joo, but all his efforts got nowhere.
Thinking of Grew now, Hwang trailed off with regret.

He shot Seo a glare, but Seo laughed.

At Seo’s uncooperative response, Hwang and Choi booed.
In truth, Seo knew their congratulations were half mixed with ambition for some kind of Grew connection, but he kept dodging and holding his ground.
“Keep this up and I’ll sleep in front of Hyunak headquarters, got it? I’m serious!”
PD Seo grimaced at Hwang, who was now whining like a toddler.
“Knock yourself out. Guild Leader On will just love that.”
Tsk. Hwang smacked his lips. That would be a problem.

“Dohan Group’s legal team will probably be out to greet you then.”
