    Chapter 124: I Am Who I Am—And I Love Survival Game

Though the “world tour” ended half an hour early, the players weren’t particularly disappointed.

They were still sitting atop their balloons, drifting among the clouds, leaning over the railings to gaze down—every glance offering a view that felt eternal.

“If I weren’t so curious about what comes next after this round, I’d really want to try a leap of faith from up here,” one player said, clearly tempted.

Come on, with the Survival Game as a safety net, a pain-free high-altitude bungee jump with zero risk of death—how many chances would you ever get for something like that?

Sure enough, his region’s viewers in the livestream immediately got excited:

【Hold on, boss! If you lose, we won’t get to watch anymore!】

【Yeah, don’t you want to see what kind of grand prize those two end up getting?】

Fortunately, the player was only speaking his mind. In the end, he resisted the urge.

Qi Yu stood at the railing, eyes fixed on the distant horizon. His entire being radiated a kind of quiet joy.

“Do you really like the sky that much?” Dan Xingyu came to stand beside him.

He thought to himself that the pair of Azure Sky Wings he’d given before had truly been the perfect gift.

    Qi Yu nodded. “I do.”

But his happiness wasn’t just because he was so close to the sky right now.

He’d just witnessed so many different scenes.

Aside from Blackrock Mountains and the Winterfrost Tundra, he hadn’t visited any of the other places yet.

And even those two, he’d only barely scratched the surface.

He was thrilled by the thought that he’d have so much time ahead to explore such a beautiful world.

He suddenly had a lot he wanted to say to his friend beside him, but remembering they were on livestream, he held back.

Forget it—he’d wait until they were home to talk.

Far away, deep in the clouds, golden light seemed to be flickering.

If this scene had appeared on Blue Star, it would have instantly dominated every social platform and been tagged as a “miracle.”

The host reminded them, “Players, this journey is about to end. The area ahead, glowing with golden light, is the final stop of this Racing Carnival event.”

    【Huh? It’s ending already?】

【I can’t believe it actually ended so peacefully. This Racing Carnival really was a straightforward entertainment event, no tricks, no drama.】

【Ahhh, don’t say it—I’m too cynical, and for the ten-thousandth time, I regret not signing up!】

Suddenly, a player called out, “Host, you said the third round is part of the competition too. Does that mean rankings will be based on the order we arrive?”

    “That’s right!”

“So do we have to bring the balloon with us to the finish? Or is it just the person that counts?”

“For this round, the balloon is just a tool for your enjoyment. There’s no strict requirement to reach the finish with it~”

【Something’s off! Why do I sense mischief brewing?】

Just as the viewers in the livestream grew wary, the player who’d asked the question burst out laughing: “In that case, I’m going for first place in this round!”

Everyone watched as the player leapt off his balloon. The moment he dropped, a square, colorful little carpet appeared out of thin air and caught him.

He looked up and called to his teammate, “I told you I wouldn’t screw you over—come on, jump!”

    His teammate: “……”

When his teammate finally jumped, the player glanced toward Qi Yu and Dan Xingyu’s balloon and shouted, “God of Games duo, I didn’t place in the first two rounds, so snatching first this time won’t affect your overall score!”

The colorful carpet whooshed forward, slicing through a patch of cloud.

His laughter lingered in the air:

“But being the dark horse is just too satisfying, hahaha!”

    Everyone: “……”

They all turned to look at Qi Yu and Dan Xingyu, clearly eager for a show:

“Damn, this guy just did what I’ve always wanted to do.”

“That’s a flying item? Too bad I don’t have one, or I’d be the dark horse too.”

“Hahaha, savage—just when they were about to sweep all three rounds, someone swoops in at the last second.”

District 01 and District 88’s chat was fuming:

【Damn, this kid has no honor!】

【Dark horse, dark horse! How can you be so sneaky!】

【Ahhh, this is killing me! Our first place, our first place!】

【Can the little dragon carry two people? That carpet doesn’t look that fast—maybe they can catch up.】

【Am I the only one drooling over that flying carpet? It looks so fun! My god, how do they have so many cool items?】

Qi Yu didn’t see anything wrong with players using their skills and items to compete for first place.

First place wasn’t predetermined—may the best person win.

But why, before leaving, did that player make a point of calling out to him and Dan Xingyu?

    Was that a challenge?

Well, whether it was or not, he wanted first place too.

He turned to his teammate. “Second God, hold on to me.”

Dan Xingyu had a vague idea of what was coming.

He didn’t have time to say anything before a hand landed on his back.

Then, with a surge of force, he was lifted into the air.

All the players watching saw the mage suspected to be “I Love Survival Game” leap off the balloon with his teammate.

A pair of enormous, dazzling azure wings unfurled from his back.

With a light beat of those wings, the two vanished, leaving only a streak of blue light behind.

The players on the balloons: “???”

“666, is there another stage after this?”

“What were those wings? A flying item? Or something else?”

“I can’t take it—seriously, is this guy a plant from the Survival Game? Not only is he strong, but all his moves are flashy, and now even his items look cooler than everyone else’s!”

“I spent two hundred thousand on wings in-game and they don’t look half as good as his.”

“Excuse me, does praising Survival Game actually work? If so, from now on, Survival Game is my most respected godfather.”

The dark horse, sitting happily on his flying carpet and munching a biscuit he’d swiped from the balloon’s tea table, was suddenly caught in a violent gust of wind. The air currents flipped his magic carpet over several times.

The two of them tumbled through the air, only to be caught again by the carpet as it righted itself.

    “My biscuit!”

The dark horse was still lamenting when his teammate elbowed him. “Stop whining—looks like you’re not going to be the dark horse after all.”

    “What?”

His teammate replied, “That gust just now—it looked like two people.”

    Dark horse: ???

【Let me say this as plainly as possible: Gaming god, you are so cool!】

【Is it just accepted now that he’s the gaming god?】

【If he isn’t, I can’t imagine how strong the real gaming god would have to be to beat him to three first-place finishes.】

【He hides his identity, pretends to be a farmer when he’s clearly a mage—no matter how strong he is, I can’t respect that.】

    【Yo! ‘My Fate, Not Heaven’s’—you’re here?】

    District 88:

【Second God’s got it easy, just along for the ride and laughing all the way.】

【Hey, is there any way to lure this big boss over to District 88?】

    【If I can’t beat him, I’ll just join him—let me transfer to District 01.】

The Azure Sky Wings were simply in a different league compared to an alchemical flying carpet.

In just a few breaths, the two of them had reached the finish—€€€€the place ahead glowing with golden light.

A podium, seemingly set atop the clouds?

It was exactly Qi Yu’s style—resplendent, golden, and ostentatiously grand.

The clouds beneath their feet were soft and springy. Qi Yu let go of the person in his arms and stepped back.

Dan Xingyu opened his mouth, as if wanting to say something, but in the end said nothing.

Qi Yu read his expression and understood: he clearly wanted to talk, but with the livestream going, it wasn’t the time.

    They’d talk later, at home.

A giant rabbit, as tall as a person, stood there in a suit and a red bow tie, waiting for them.

A familiar voice came from its mouth: “Oh! Congratulations to our God of Games team for taking first place yet again in the third round.”

“So, in this Racing Carnival event, in this arena, the God of Games team has won first place in all three rounds, and ranks first in total points.”

【How is this podium both tacky and flashy?】

    【Gold lovers rejoice!】

【The travel balloons were so fresh and elegant—why does this podium look like a nouveau riche’s dream?】

Qi Yu and Dan Xingyu headed to the rest area as usual.

Minutes later, a flying carpet arrived with two players.

Seeing them, the dark horse wailed, “Damn, even flying items—how are you so well-equipped?”

“I’m telling you, if your character was in a game, the devs would have nerfed you ages ago!”

【Exactly! I’ve been saying, Survival Game clearly doesn’t know how to balance games—just keeps buffing his favorites.】

Before they could reply, the player suddenly realized, “Wait, there’s no restriction on communication this time?”

His eyes lit up and he strode over.

Anywhere else, even among fellow Blue Star natives, he wouldn’t have dared be so “trusting.”

Especially since these two were stronger than he was.

But this was the Survival Game’s “entertainment event”—even a fatal injury was covered by the wristband.

And the whole thing was being livestreamed to the entire server.

    Safe!

And safety meant you could let loose!

He introduced himself, “Hi, I’m from District 1074—€€€€”

The rest of his words caught in his throat. He coughed tactically and mumbled, “Player.”

    District 1074 channel:

【Thank god, I was holding my breath—good thing Piggy had enough shame not to blurt out his Thunderbolt ID.】

    【Me too—if he’d said it, I wouldn’t have had the courage to watch.】

    【Embarrassing, truly embarrassing!】

After introducing himself, the 1074 player stared intently at the two of them, especially Qi Yu.

“There’s something I’ve been dying to ask for a long time.”

His gaze burned. “Are you ‘I Love Survival Game’ from District 01?”

Just then, the third group of players landed and overheard.

They scrambled off their balloon. “Wait, wait, did we miss something?”

【Wow! Thanks, boss from 1074, for asking the question I’ve always wanted to ask.】

    【Is he the gaming god?】

【Heh, everyone’s hyping him up, but what if he isn’t? That would be hilarious.】

【Even if he isn’t, our district’s number one is still the gaming god—‘My Fate, Not Heaven’s’ can’t compare.】

Qi Yu didn’t understand what all the fuss was about.

He nodded. “I am ‘I Love Survival Game.’”
